Why I Do This

It started with the worst phone call of my life.


My mother passed away in a car accident. It was sudden, devastating, and it changed the direction of my life.

She had insurance. Because of that, what could have been a financial crisis on top of an emotional one was not. The money she left behind gave our family time to grieve, stabilise, and breathe.

I decided that I wanted to be the person who gives other families that same safety net, before they ever need it.

That is why I left a stable corporate career at 30. That is why I have stayed in this industry for more than a decade. And that is why every recommendation I make still feels personal to me.

London • 2006 to 2010

Independence changed me

Living abroad taught me resilience, perspective, and how to think for myself during uncertain times.

Corporate

I saw how unprepared people really were

My years in corporate, including time in London and later at PPA in Malaysia handling Private Retirement Schemes, made one thing obvious: too many people delay important financial decisions until it is too late.

Turning Point • 2014

I left corporate and joined AIA

I wanted to help real families directly, not just talk about financial planning in theory. So I walked away from a stable career and started over.

Today

Still personal, now with leadership

I now lead a growing team while continuing to advise clients personally, with the same care that brought me into this work in the first place.
