Policy Review.

Most people have insurance. Very few know if it actually protects them. I review what you have, identify the gaps, and give you a clear picture of where you stand, at no cost and with no obligation to change anything.

A look at
what you already have.

A policy review is not a sales call. It is a structured look at your existing protection and an honest answer to one question: is what you have today still adequate for your life as it stands?

Tell me what you have on this page. When we meet, I will go through everything with you in person: what your policies cover, where the gaps are, and what those gaps mean in practical terms. If you would like to bring your physical documents, you are welcome to. I will use them to highlight things you may have missed. But all you need to get started is a general idea of what you hold.

Most people have never sat down with their policy documents and compared the figures against their actual commitments: a mortgage, a salary a family depends on, medical costs that have risen sharply since the policy was first signed. A policy review does that work, clearly and without pressure, in a single conversation.

Why It Matters

Most People Do Not Know What Their Policy Actually Covers

People do not review their policies until something goes wrong. Here are five situations that a review could have changed.

01
Young and Single

Andy, 26

Fresh graduate. First job in KL. Relies entirely on company group medical.

My company covers me. I do not need my own insurance yet.
What a review would have shown

His company group medical has a RM25,000 annual limit. There is no personal accident cover, no critical illness protection, and no life insurance. SOCSO pays a fraction of his salary if he cannot work.

A road accident led to a RM32,000 hospital bill. His company medical covered RM25,000. Andy paid RM7,000 himself, plus six weeks of lost income with no replacement.

02
Married, First Child

Nurul, 32

Has a hospital and surgical card bought six years ago. Annual limit: RM50,000.

I have a medical card. Surely that is enough.
What a review would have shown

Her room limit was RM100 per day, set in 2018. The same ward at a KL private hospital now costs RM350 to RM450 per night. The annual limit of RM50,000 sounds safe until a single admission tests it.

Pregnancy complications led to a RM74,000 hospital bill. The annual limit was exhausted. She paid RM24,000 out of pocket, and exceeded her daily room limit every single night.

03
Business Owner, 40s

Rajan, 45

Investment-linked plan since age 30. Life SA: RM500k. CI SA: RM50k. Premium: RM1,200 per month.

I have been paying for 15 years. I must be well-protected.
What a review would have shown

Rising insurance charges at 45 were quietly eating into his fund value. His critical illness sum assured was still RM50,000, the amount he set in 2009. Cancer treatment costs have more than tripled since then.

Colorectal cancer diagnosis at 45. Treatment at a KL private hospital: RM210,000. CI paid RM50,000. Shortfall: RM160,000. His business income stopped for eight months.

04
Married Couple, 30s

Sarah and Kevin, 36

Dual income. Two children. Each has their own policy. They have never reviewed them together.

Between the two of us, we must be covered.
What a review would have shown

Kevin's life sum assured: RM250,000. Outstanding joint mortgage: RM480,000. If Kevin cannot work or passes away, Sarah's income alone cannot cover the mortgage, the school fees, and everyday living costs.

Kevin's critical illness left a RM230,000 gap they could not bridge. They had to sell the house. Having a policy and having enough coverage are two different things.

05
Nearing Retirement

Mrs Lim, 58

Investment-linked plan since age 34. Has been paying for 24 years. Assumes everything is intact.

I have had this for over 20 years. It must still be doing its job.
What a review would have shown

Rising insurance charges from age 50 were drawing down her fund value. Her medical card rider was quietly dropped at 55 when the fund fell below the required threshold. She never received a clear notice.

At 58, she discovered she had no medical coverage for three years. A new policy at her age came with loadings and exclusions for pre-existing conditions. She had to restructure from scratch.
